## Implementation

As part of my journey through Bruno Simon’s excellent Three.js course, I recently hit a pretty satisfying milestone: building my very first 3D scene in Blender completely from scratch—and getting it up and running in a Three.js project.

For anyone unfamiliar, Three.js is a powerful JavaScript library that makes working with WebGL a lot more accessible. It allows developers and digital artists to build interactive 3D experiences for the browser—without diving straight into low-level graphics programming.

This lesson walked through a full creative pipeline:

* Modeling the scene in Blender using basic geometry, materials, and lighting
* Baking and exporting the scene into usable assets
* Loading, optimizing, and enhancing the scene inside a Three.js environment

## Personal Reflections

This part of the course really drove home just how important it is to understand the entire 3D workflow—from modeling to rendering. I was pleasantly surprised by how intuitive Blender became once I got used to its interface. Now I’m eager to start designing and building my own scenes from the ground up.

Around this time, I also started dipping my toes into React Three Fiber and React Drei, two libraries that help bring 3D scenes into the React ecosystem. These tools are making it easier to focus on narrative and storytelling elements—something I’m really passionate about.

It’s one thing to learn how to design and render 3D assets—but it’s another to put them to meaningful use. I’m excited by the idea of creating immersive digital experiences that feel purposeful, challenging, and creatively expressive.

Honestly, seeing my own 3D scene load up in the browser felt like a bit of a breakthrough. I’m no longer just tweaking someone else’s demo—I’m finally starting to create my own.

## Next Steps

* Diving deeper into Three.js animation systems to make scenes more dynamic
* Exploring interactivity—click events, object highlighting, UI overlays
* Learning how to optimize performance and asset sizes for the web

This milestone has opened up a lot of exciting directions to explore, and I’m genuinely looking forward to the next challenge.
